FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What clients usually want to know before reaching out.
Who do you work with?
Dr. Gina specializes in therapy for women, teens, couples, and families — with particular experience supporting BIPOC clients, maternal mental health, and leaders navigating high-stakes roles.
Where are you licensed?
Dr. Gina is licensed to provide therapy in Maryland (LCSW-C), the District of Columbia (LICSW), and Virginia (LCSW). Clients must be physically located in one of these states during session.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are available for all residents of Maryland, DC, and Virginia through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. In-person sessions may also be available depending on scheduling.
How long is a session?
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions are often 60–75 minutes. Program and coaching sessions may vary in length.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As progress stabilizes, some clients move to biweekly. The cadence is always a clinical decision made together.
Do you accept insurance?
Current insurance participation is reviewed on a case-by-case basis during your discovery call. For clients using out-of-network benefits, a superbill can be provided for reimbursement. A Good Faith Estimate is always provided in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
What are your fees?
Fees are shared during the discovery call and depend on service type (individual, couples, family, program, or speaking). A limited number of reduced-fee slots may be available.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes — with the legal and ethical exceptions every licensed clinician must honor (imminent safety concerns, abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, and court orders). These are reviewed fully in your first session.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer hijack the present. Dr. Gina is EMDR-trained and integrates it when clinically appropriate.
What is the N.A.D.I.R. Method™?
It is Dr. Gina's proprietary five-stage framework — Notice, Acknowledge, Define, Integrate, Rise — that turns therapeutic insight into lasting transformation.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
That's exactly why the discovery call exists. It is free, brief, and carries no obligation. Most clients find it clarifying even if they decide not to move forward right away.
